About Us
Jim Meech Agri-Med Crisis Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) approved nonprofit geared to aid or assist farmers or ranchers who encounter a medical crisis. The goal is to help those in need during the first days of their crisis.

On Monday, November 19, 2018, Jim and I were hoping to finish our fall harvest so that we could travel to Texas to enjoy Thanksgiving with our children. The next day an unexpected medical crisis was thrown into our path. It was discovered that Jim had a massive brain tumor. Disbelief and scramble became words of the moment. Both our children lived eight plus hours away. We still had crops in the field, along with cattle that needed to be brought home for the winter. We needed help!
Needless to say, Jim was going to need brain surgery. After a nearly 12-hour surgery and awaiting weeks for pathology results, we learned that he had the worst of worst brain cancers known to man, Gliosarcoma. He passed away on September 2, 2019.
During the 9.5 roller coaster months we realized the lack of support for us ag folks with similar medical crisis situations. This became a frustrating thorn for Jim. He did not want other agriculture folks like us to have to scramble, on their own, when an unexpected medical crisis arose.
Fulfilling a promise, the non-profit organization has been created to aid farmers/ranchers encountering an unexpected medical crisis. The foundation’s goal is to give some type of monetary, physical, or other type of assistance to agriculture folks, in the first days of their medical crisis.
